Privacy Statement 

Children’s Privacy & COPPA Notice: We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 17. All registration data, communication, and homework tracking are facilitated strictly through the student's parent or legal guardian. We collect only the minimum necessary information (e.g., student name, age, and grade level) required to conduct our classes. Parents have the right at any time to review, modify, or request the deletion of their child's data.

Third-Party Service Providers: Philadelphia Kannada Shaale does not sell, rent, or trade family data to outside marketers. Student names and parent contact details are shared only with trusted, necessary educational tools to run the school, including Google Classroom(for live virtual classes), Google Workspace/Forms (for tracking attendance, grading, and communications), and Kannada Academy (for textbook distribution, curriculum access, and certification).

Volunteer Background Clearances (PA Law Compliance): The safety of our students is our highest priority. In strict compliance with Pennsylvania State Law (Act 153), all Philadelphia Kannada Shaale instructors, substitutes, and core team members who interact with minors must maintain up-to-date background clearances. These include the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearances (or signed residency waivers where legally permitted).

Classroom Recording Policy: To protect the privacy of all students, live virtual classes on Zoom are not recorded by default. Students and parents are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots, video recordings, or audio recordings of live sessions without explicit, prior written consent from the Shaale administration and all participating families in that section.
